A small studio that answers the phone.
We started in 2014 with two designers and one carpenter. Today we are 22 people, with our own workshop in Peenya. We still pick up when you call.

The lead designer
Ananya Rao
Founder and lead designer · DEMO
Ananya trained as an architect in Ahmedabad and worked in Mumbai for six years. She came home to Bengaluru in 2014 and opened Aura in a two-room office on 12th Main.
She still leads the design on every project. You will meet her at least three times: at the first consultation, at design sign-off and at handover.

We prefer teak, cane, Kota stone and brass. They look better in year ten than on day one.

Our workshop
Our own workshop in Peenya.
18 carpenters build every cabinet, shelf and bed frame in our 6,000 sq ft workshop. We do not hand woodwork to subcontractors. That is how we control the quality and keep the dates.
